This page routes questions about official Wexford County, Michigan dockets and case records to the court or clerk that actually maintains them. This private reference site cannot act for a court, so use the local paths below for a case history, current hearing, or certified document.

This Is Not a Court or Government Office. We operate a private reference site, not the Wexford County court system. We cannot retrieve an official file, change a hearing, seal or remove a record, issue a certified copy, or provide legal advice. Direct those matters to the clerk or court of record.

Need an Official Docket or Record?

Use the following Wexford County routes for common record questions:

  • Public case history: start with MiCOURT Case Search or this site's case lookup guide; MiCOURT is informational rather than the official file.
  • A current court date or setting: review the court dates guide, then confirm directly with the court named on the notice because online and posted calendars can change.
  • Circuit certified copies: contact the Wexford County Clerk, the Circuit Court Clerk for 28th Circuit files. District and Probate files must be requested from their separate custodians.
  • A district case: call the 84th District Court clerk division at (231) 779-9515 for traffic, civil infractions, misdemeanors, small claims, and other district matters.
  • Probate or family-support material: contact the Probate Register at (231) 779-9510 for probate matters, or Friend of Court for support administration; use court record search for the record-type distinction.

For 28th Circuit Court dockets and records, contact Alaina M. Nyman, Wexford County Clerk and Circuit Court Clerk, at 437 E. Division St., Cadillac, MI 49601, (231) 779-9450, fax (231) 779-0447, or clerk@wexfordcounty.org. County offices list Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; the Circuit office is closed from noon to 1:00 p.m. The clerk counter is on the second floor of the historic side of the courthouse, one floor below the courtroom.
